Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about security, privacy and how InfoSafe works

What is InfoSafe?

InfoSafe is a password manager developed by Developers Mix S.A.S. de C.V. It stores passwords and sensitive data in five categories — Bank, Device, Note, Service Account and Web Account — inside an encrypted database on your device.

How secure is InfoSafe?

All data is encrypted with AES-256-GCM, the encryption key is derived with Argon2id (OWASP 2023 compliant), and account recovery uses a 24-word BIP39 phrase. InfoSafe uses a zero-knowledge architecture: the developers never see your data.

Does InfoSafe upload my data to a server?

No. Your records live in an encrypted database on your device. The only optional network feature is an encrypted backup to your own Google Drive, activated with Google Sign-In. Google Play's data safety section reflects this: no data is collected and nothing is shared with third parties.

Does InfoSafe work offline?

Yes. You can create, update and consult your records without an Internet connection. Going online is only required if you choose to enable the Google Drive backup.

Which platforms is InfoSafe available on?

InfoSafe is available for Android on Google Play, published by Developers Mix S.A.S. de C.V.

There are other apps called InfoSafe — is this the same one?

No. Other products with a similar name exist, including a discontinued InfoSafe and an unrelated iOS app. This InfoSafe is developed by Developers Mix S.A.S. de C.V., distributed on Google Play as com.developersmix.infosafe, and its official site is infosafe-web-page.developersmix.com.
